The &quot;intimidating specialized facilities&quot; was referring to (for example) an ice rink full of private hockey leagues and a staff which caters to them, not random walk ins. Typically only having a few &quot;open skates&quot; a week that last about an hour. It is not the type of place you can go to on a whim and have a good time. This thought needs to be refined to not sound so negative probably.<br \/>\n<br \/>\nI want my project to be a place where anyone can go and experience something unique which they normally would not have the opportunity to do in the city throughout every season. This could be kayaking in the hot summer, watching waterfowl migrations in the cool fall, ice skating or fishing during the cold winter, and flowers blooming in the warming spring. Of course the normal rec programs would be there too.
